Fellowship for Postdoctoral ScholarsThe Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (Shorenstein APARC) in the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University announces its 2010-2011 Northeast Asian History Fellowship. Made possible through the generosity of the Northeast Asian History Foundation, the fellowship supports a scholar to conduct research and writing on a historical subject that has an impact on modern and contemporary Northeast Asia. The fellow helps deepen the center's current research on historical issues and on how historical memory has shaped current relations in Northeast Asia.

SPRIE Fellowship for Postdoctoral ScholarsThe Stanford Project on Regions of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SPRIE) is a multidisciplinary research program of the Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University that focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship in leading high technology regions in the United States and Asia. SPRIE has an active community of scholars at Stanford as well as research affiliates in the United States, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and India.
- Takahashi Fellowship in Japanese Studies
FSI Stanford, Shorenstein APARC Fellowship for Postdoctoral Scholars, Faculty, Professionals/International ScholarsQualified candidates will have experience working within a broad range of topics related to contemporary Japan including (but not limited to) analysis of issues related to political economy, domestic politics, security, international relations, and comparative governance. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated potential to make significant policy-relevant research contributions to the study of contemporary Japan.
