Rafiq Dossani is a senior research Scholar and executive director of the South Asia Program at the Waltyer H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University. He has done policy research and teaching on nuclear security, energy, technology, and financial reform in India, and on Asian entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. His most recent books are Prospects for Peace in South Asia published in March 2005 by Stanford University Press (forthcoming in India in January 2006 by Orient Longman); and Telecommunications Reform in India published by Greenwood (May 2002), and reissued in October 2002 in India by Viva Books. Dossani is currently project director of a project funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to study the globalization of business processes.

Dossani holds a BA in economics from St. Stephen's College in New Delhi, India; an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta, India; and a PhD in finance from Northwestern University.
