Korean literature and culture position at Stanford
The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Stanford invites applications for a tenure-track position in Korean literature, film and culture at the rank of assistant professor to begin September 1, 2012. The Department seeks a dynamic scholar and experienced teacher who will contribute to the intellectual mission of a research institution.
Applicants must have a PhD in hand by the time of appointment. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong potential for scholarly achievement and be prepared to assume a leadership role in the development of the Department’s Korean studies program. He or she will be expected to teach courses in all disciplines and at all levels in Korean humanities, including literature, film, and culture. Native or near-native fluency in Korean and English is required.
