Michael Armacost reflects on distinguished career in academia and government

In a recent interview with the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, Michael Armacost, Shorenstein Distinguished Fellow, reflected on his distinguished career in academia and government. Armacost, who received a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship in 1958, discussed about serving as United States Ambassador to the Philippines (1982-1984) and to Japan (1989-1993), and spoke with optimism about China’s growing economic and political influence as a positive "wake-up call" to the United States.
