About the Program

In March 2024, Stanford University's Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (APARC) unveiled the Taiwan Program, which will serve as an interdisciplinary research and education hub on contemporary Taiwan. The program will investigate Taiwan’s strides as a modernization exemplar and the challenges its economy and society face in seeking to drive dynamism and growth in an era marked by shifting global relations.

The program launched on May 2, 2024, at the inaugural conference "Innovate Taiwan: Shaping the Future of a Postindustrial Society." Get the conference recap.
